Eureka Boss 4D Upright Vacuum (Yellow) 5892BVZ
Plus side, it cleans like the Boss lines have done in the past, very well..This model has only one downside but if you keep it in mind it'll work perfectly for you..Make sure the vacuum hose is firmly attached to the collar/duster boot/connector. I to was disheartened with it till i realized my error. After a good firm push to connect it, viola..Works like a charm. Very happy.. So happy i went back to Menards and got another for the upstairs....

Eureka Boss 4D Upright Vacuum (Yellow) 5892BVZ
Worked great at first... now when i use it leaves behind a horrible odor. The filter clogs. More hair and dust in the filter than in the dirt cannister!
Save your money! Don't buy. Next vacuum will not be Eureka!

Oreck XL2100 8 lb. Upright Commercial Vacuum Cleaner
I owned an Oreck for many years and loved it. Three months ago I purchased a Shark Navigator. I dislike it so much that I just purchased another Oreck...I love it. Light weight, great suction, great on hard woods and easy to vacumn under furniture.

Dirt Devil SD30040CS Tattoo Crimson Stars Bagged Canister
Shipped quickly! Received before all the other things I ordered were in transit. (free shipping)
Vacuum assembled easily and quickly. Came with three bags, thank goodness, because I ordered bags and they haven't even shipped yet. One of the bags were already attached so I didn't have to read about installing those.
Vacuum works best on hardwood floors and furniture. Not made for carpets. The attachments only work with air, no power roller like you would want on carpets.
Good suction. Accessories not as big as I expected. Very light and has a handle to lift canister with ease. Good product for wood surfaces and apartments. Would be great for college students and those with there first apartments.

SHARK Shark Handheld Bagless Vacuum - 800 Watt - Hepa Filter - V15Z-FS
I've been messing with cordless handvacs for a long time to get my kids to manage vacuuming the stairs. This one has more power since it plugs in and does the job rather well. Easy enough to teach my 4-yr-old to do the chore! Also easier to use this for edging carpet instead of the larger vacuum's hand tool set. Really enjoy the small size, and it is easy to empty it out. Like the bagless feature.
While I am very happy with my purchase, I agree with others who have posted that it is loud... boy is it! Also, like another customer, my belt only lasted a short time, and while Walmart sells this vacuum, they don't stock belts for it. At least I can go online to get one, but it just takes a while to get it here when I'd really rather be getting my kids to use it for their chores.
So yes, I recommend buying this great tool; however, grab a belt online right at the start so you have one on hand when needed instead of having to wait for it. I think I'll take another customer's advice and just go back to Walmart and swap it out for a new vacuum.

This Vacuum sucks . . . in more ways than one. by Almostunbiased

This is a very powerful vacuum and cleans our short carpet and tile floors wonderfully. It also does a good job cleaning our thicker carpet in the living room except its suction is so great that my wife can hardly push the vacuum across the floor. There is no height adjustment which would have solved the problem. It is even a workout for me who is a 6 foot tall, 180 pound man.
Also it didn't come with any attachments or for that matter any opening for attachments to be added to the sweeper. I think for the cost those should be standard.
Overall, very powerful almost too powerful sweeper that works great on short carpet and tile floor, just not great for high pile carpet.

Hoover Presto 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Vac - BH20090
This sweeper is the noisiest thing in my home..it screeches at a high decibel..plus the battery does not hold a charge long enough to clean mores than two rooms. This was a bad use of $100.00.

Hoover Presto 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Vac - BH20090
Cordless and the battery lasts plenty long. That was something I was concerned about, but I don't see it being a problem at all.
This vacuum is great for keeping things neat. Our house is all hardwoods and we've got a dog, this thing is perfect to grab for 5 minutes when you get home to hit the floors real quick. We've got several rugs and it does do a good job of cleaning those up too. Keeps things nice and neat.
It wouldn't be a great vacuum to do any deep cleaning with. If I was starting with a really dirty carpeted room or something I'd want a bigger machine. Leaves tend to give it problems; they're pretty wide and can start an obstruction in the tube from the head to the canister.
If you use it as it was designed to be used it's really great. We haven't had to use our older corded vacuum since we got this one, a quick trip around the house every other day keeps it nice and clean.

Hoover Presto 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Vac - BH20090
This is a good stick vac. The hand held part pops out of the stick. I find it works best with the narrow extension tool instead of by itself, which some people might not like having to put on everytime, I don't mind. I use the hand held with the tool to clean the baseboards and corners of rooms with cat hair. Otherwise, I mostly use this vac in lieu of sweeping my kitchen. It picks up everything and holds a charge. Because of the charging station, it is really and out of the way. I like that it can be cleaned, too. If you keep the fileter clean, you won't be dissapointed with the suction.

Eureka 8802AVZ Capture Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner
I found a discarded Eureka Bagless Vacumm cleaner on the curb. At first I was skeptical because it stunk after canine. But, I picked it up and the first thing I noticed was that it was heavy, that caught my attention. To me heavy means more metal components. I took it home and cleaned it with a solution of half vinegar half water. I cleaned the filters thoroughtly and I mean thouroughly. I pulled every piece that could be pulled off of it and blew the dirt off with an air compressor. The next day I vacummed my carpet which looked semi clean. I vacummed enought dog hair to make me another dog. Needles to say I am very impressed with this unit. It is the Eureka 8802 escape model and it's bagless. I really like this thing. Do I recommend you buying one? I would say yes but if you find one on the curb, by all means pick it up.

Dyson DC26 Multi floor compact canister vacuum cleaner
I just picked up this vacuum from Bed Bath & Beyond (the Boston store has it in stock - $349 with tax after 20% coupon) and I must say I pretty much love it. FIrst let me say that I used to live in a 4000+ sq ft house in rural PA. I had a full-size Dyson upright (DC25 i think) and I was not impressed with that at all. When it came time to look for a new vacuum for my new 1330 sq ft loft-style condo in Boston, Dyson was not at the top of the list. However, I needed something powerful but small as we have no closets and only a small utility room which is already taken up buy the furnace, water heater, stacked washer/dryer, and a shelf. After weeks of searching, and weeks of our wood floor accumulating dust and dog hair balls, I had to get something now. This little guy caught my eye, and since it was in store I figured why not try it, i could always return it.
Initial impressions:
- It looks great. The plastics all appear to be of high quality and the colors are attractive. At least it looks like its worth $300+ :-)
- I was actually surprised how long the power cord is, after reading so many negative reviews. However, I think I am the ideal customer for this vacuum, living in a loft-style condo in the city, i have no walls to go around. 1330 sq ft is a fairly large loft and I have to change outlets twice to get the whole place. Someone in a 600 sq ft studio probably would only have to switch once, if that.
- Although I already knew based on another review, I was disappointed to see that the hard floor tool does not clip onto the back of the canister like the carpet tool does. This is a big bummer for us since our place is entirely hardwood flooring, with one area rug under the sofa. To get around this issue, I removed the stair tool from the little holster that clips onto the wand (no stairs in our loft) and store the hard floor tool there.
- The articulating hard floor tool is AMAZING! It is pure genius. I was amazed at how many places I could reach with this thing...seriously.
- The carpet tool works surprisingly well, too. I wasn't expecting much since the brush bar is driven by airflow and not by a motor, but it picked up dog hair and tennis ball fuzz (our dogs love to rip the fuzz off of tennis balls) with little effort.
- I agree with the other reviews that the way the hose turns coming out of the canister seems to be setup for someone who is left-handed and makes it a little difficult to maneuver the canister. I didn't have any issues with the canister flipping however.
- It fits in the small space next to our washer and dryer. Not many other vacuums could do that.
Overall this vacuum is near perfect for us. If you live in anything bigger than a 1BR apartment it's probably not the right vacuum for you. If you live in a studio or an open floor plan loft, you probably want it.

SHARK Shark Handheld Bagless Vacuum - 800 Watt - Hepa Filter - V15Z-FS
this vacuum is WAY TOO LOUD! also the cup is extremely difficult to take off and put back on, especially because I have small hands its extremely heavy and when I turn it vertically to sweep a step riser, the spinning motion inside fights me and I have a hard time holding onto it so far I haven't had to try to replace the belt but from the other people's reviews, it sounds like that will be a problem I absolutely hate the filter-how stupid that you just "tap out" the dust to clean it! all that does is throw dirt into the air and you've just gotten done sweeping it up!! bad design all around I definately won't be buying this brand again

Generic Monster EZ1 Replacment Ultra Micro Fiber Steam Mop Cleaner PAds For Bare Surface Floors
My stock pads were shot. They would not stay attached to the steam mop even slightly. These are thicker, stornger, and they stay attached much better than the ones that came with the Monster mop. Highly recommend.
